End-User Licence Agreement

By installing or using Testaro you agree to this end-user licence agreement ("EULA") on behalf of yourself and the organisation you install it for. If you do not agree, do not install or use Testaro. The licensor is Baytek.

1. Where your data lives

Testaro is an Azure DevOps extension for test management. Your test content (cases, suites, runs, results, evidence) is stored in your own Azure DevOps organisation, using the Extension Data Service and your work item attachment store. Baytek does not run a database that holds your test content. Optional cloud features (share links, a company-managed AI key, licence checks) are described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Licence grant

Baytek grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to install and use Testaro in the Azure DevOps organisations (or Azure DevOps Server collections) you administer, for your internal business purposes, within the limits of your plan.

3. Plans

Plans are per Azure DevOps organisation. Prices and the full feature list are on the pricing page.

• Free — everything Azure Test Plans offers, for up to 5 active testers (people who mark a result in a 30-day window). Viewers never count. Going over the limit shows a notice; it never blocks you.
• Team — Free plus the Pro features, with no tester limit.
• Business — Team plus priority support (one business day), invoice billing and an Azure DevOps Server licence key file.

4. Free trial and early adopters

A new installation gets 14 days of Team at no charge, with no payment card, then moves to Free unless a subscription is bought. An organisation that installed before paid plans launched keeps Team free for 12 months from the paid launch, then may subscribe at the price shown when it first installed.

5. Subscriptions and payment

• Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe; Baytek does not store card details. Business customers may pay by invoice.
• Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or we agree in writing. Taxes are added where required.
• We give at least 30 days' notice before a price change applies to you. Early-adopter prices are kept as promised.

6. Restrictions

• No reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembly, except where permitted by law.
• No redistributing, sublicensing, reselling, renting, or rebranding.
• No bypassing or tampering with licence checks, or sharing a licence key outside the organisation it was issued to.
• No using Testaro to build a competing product, or in breach of the law or Microsoft's Marketplace terms.

7. Your responsibilities

• You control installation, configuration, user access, and removal in your Azure DevOps organisation.
• You are responsible for any optional AI provider you enable, including keeping your API keys safe. With bring-your-own-key, requests go from your browser straight to the provider; Baytek never sees your key.
• You are responsible for your use complying with the law, your internal policies, and Microsoft Azure DevOps terms.

8. Privacy, support and updates

Use of Testaro is also governed by the Testaro Privacy Policy. Baytek does not sell, rent, or share customer data. Support is by email at support@baytekdev.com; Business plans get a reply within one business day, other plans best-effort. Updates are delivered through the Visual Studio Marketplace.

9. Intellectual property

Testaro, including its code, design, documentation, and branding, belongs to Baytek. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Your test content belongs to you.

10. No warranty

Testaro is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Testaro will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Baytek is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business. Baytek's total liability is limited to the fees you paid for Testaro in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50 if you paid nothing.

12. Term and termination

You may stop at any time by uninstalling Testaro. We may end your licence if you materially breach this EULA and do not fix the breach within 30 days of notice. When a paid subscription ends, the organisation returns to Free. Ending a subscription or this EULA never deletes your data: it stays in your Azure DevOps organisation and you can still open and export it.

13. Governing law

14. Changes and entire agreement

We may update this EULA. Material changes are announced with at least 30 days' notice and reflected in the "Last updated" date. This EULA, the Privacy Policy, and the Microsoft Visual Studio Marketplace Terms of Use are the entire agreement between you and Baytek about Testaro. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
